Prosciutto, chile and onion pizza

Very spicy. With three kind of chilies chopped and added to it. On a crispy home made pizza base. With red and yellow onion. And the best Italian prosciutto to top it off. The perfect thing to satisfy munching cravings on rainy afternoons when all you can think of is staying inside and watching movies.
Recipe idea inspired from Saveur

Last year: Raw winter salad in preserved peaches (Romanian)
Two years ago: Smoked salmon on lemon-herb butter toast.

Ingredients (serves 2-3):
  • our crispy and thin pizza crust
  • 5-6 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 75 g grated Emental cheese
  • 1 large white onion
  • 1 large red onion
  • 3 chillies: red, yellow and green
  • 50 g prosciutto crudo

Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Get the onions and chilies. Admire all the pretty colors :)

Spread the pizza dough on a baking paper lined tray. Spread the tomato sauce and sprinkle the cheese on it. Finely chop the chilies and sprinkle them on top too:

Halve and slice the onions (after peeling them, of course) and spread them over the pizza base as well.

Put it in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Take it out and add the prosciutto slices on top, fast. They need to cook a little in the residual heat of the pizza :).

Wait for the whole thing to cool a bit and it's done. Slice and dig in! :)
