Another classic example of pizza. Some classics are just to good to alter with much improvisation, and their home made version is much more rewarding than the bought one. Making your own pizza from scratch doesn't require much time, you just need to let the dough rise while you take care of other stuff. Your patience will be rewarded a bit later. Enjoy :)

Ingredients (for a 32 cm pizza):
- one portion of New York-style pizza crust
- 4-5 tablespoons fresh tomato paste or passata
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (thyme, basil, oregano)
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 100 g mozzarella cheese, grated
- 4-5 slices of prosciutto (50 g)
- 30 g thinly sliced mixed mushrooms (funghi porcini would be a bonus in terms of flavor; you can find them in dehydrated form in many supermarkets)
When the dough is ready to be used, spread it inside a 32 cm diameter pizza tray. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Mix the passata with the herbs and olive oil and spread it on the pizza base. Top with the grated mozzarella, then with the prosciutto, then with the thinly sliced mushrooms.
Put it in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Take out, slice and dig in! :)
