Grilled turkey breast with avocado-feta salsa

A light meal for detox time. Especially considering all the sweets people will have to deal with this month :). We grilled the turkey breast fast, chopped up fresh veggies for the salsa and enriched it with feta cheese and black-olives. The choice of ingredients and the overall taste were Mediterranean inspired. It was lovely. :)

P.S: No pictures of the making process though. Some camera trouble :(. But it's easy enough to make, you won't need extra pictures for the steps.

Last year: Quesadillas with cheddar, bacon and cherry tomatoes (Mexican).
Two years ago: Cheese-stuffed mushrooms and cheese fusilli with herbs and aioli and Swedish-style salmon with vegetables and white sauce.

Ingredients (serves 3):
  • 3 turkey steaks
  • half a lime
  • 2 avocados
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 50 g goat milk feta
  • 50 g black olives, pitted and roughly chopped
  • salt, pepper, coriander and thyme
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
Season the turkey pieces with salt, pepper, coriander and thyme to taste, and rub some olive oil into them. Grill them on both sides until they're done to your liking. Arrange on serving plates.
Chop the avocados and tomatoes. Squeeze the lime juice over the veggies and add the virgin olive oil. Divide the salsa into serving bowls and sprinkle the crumbled cheese and the olives on top of each salsa bowl.
Serve each person a grilled turkey piece and a fresh salsa bowl. Dig in! :)
