Semolina milk pudding with pear-cardamom puree and honey

A simple semolina milk pudding topped up with honey and a generous layer of pureed pears spiced with cardamom. The pudding is ready in 10 minutes and the topping should be on it in another 7. Super-quick and delicious for a sweet breakfast or after meal dessert. :)
The semolina pudding is a staple baby and child food in our country and I have had it a lot of times in my parents' kitchen, topped with bitter cherry jam or rose petal jam. One of the tastes of childhood I fondly remember.

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 1 liter milk
  • 150-200 g semolina flour (depends on how thick you want it)
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 kg pears
  • 100 g honey
  • 1 tablespoon ground cardamom

Bring the milk and sugar to a boil in a medium-large pot:

Pour the flour in the milk very gradually, stirring with a whisk:

Keep stirring for 6-7 minutes until it reaches a pudding consistency:

Transfer to serving bowls:

Top with honey:

Chop the edible parts of the washed pears and put them in a blender/food processor:

Also add the cardamom and puree for 30 seconds - 1 minute, then pour over the honey in the pudding bowls. It's ready, dig in! :)
